How to begin...life is hard. Life is miserable. It's demanding, and sometimes it makes me hate myself to the point where I wish I was dead.

I've been through painful things that make me cynical and pessimistic, but I don't want to be that person anymore. I'm tired of hating myself; I'm finally comfortable in my own skin and I love it. So, I can deal with those painfully demanding things, and I won't let my pathetic desires ruin my life.

So here I am - making a stand.

I will be the best that I can be no matter how hard it is and how much it hurts not to let go.

I'm going to be someone that my stepsister can look up to. I will.
